Yes you will most definetly need a ported saw. I would recommend the Awesome ms362c. Ported of course.

You could probably get by with a wild thing or ms170 .
But in case you want to cut something I would reccomend a good all around 60cc saw or larger. And muffler modd it after a few tanks then send it to get ported.

What about the warranty; won't the hole in the muffler void my warranty?

You will loose your warranty when you port is also. You probably won't need the warranty anyway.
If you do the modd professionally they probably won't notice. Or you could always buy another muffler off ebay to swap if it needs service.

Leadership like that is why I made you a mod Although he is a friend of questionable moral character, ethics, and social reasoning.... his leadership as a moderator is unsurpassable. Mike, not only do you have excellent taste in chainsaws (hello MS362C-M), but contain a true knack for choosing well seasoned, natural leaders.

You may only be cutting several branches over the course of 5 years now, but one of these days you are going to have a good sized limb fall off of one of those trees. 28" bar should be the minimum, and more importantly you should have a good camera or cell phone to document such use- to explicitly post on the forums. Your welcome.

Unfortunately I think we might have a problem with clemsonfor. I think all of the mods will have to get together and decide what to do about him... Advocating that a NOOB intentionally void his warranty and then hide his modifications by purchasing a second muffler is not something with which I want the forum (or awesomeness) to be associated.

Hard to beat his prices. +1 on the blue saw , i have used that particular saw for a weekend to saw some super hard pine , it was just rockin , and if he adds one of my Joker 666's to his arsenal as well , he will be a force to be reckoned with no matter what he is cuttin against .
